Handle size depends on your personal preferences. However, our mounting recommendations are :

    Small 85mm handle = awl with 38mm clamps
    Medium handle 95mm = awl with 43/50/56mm clamps
    Large handle 105mm = awl with clamps 60mm and over


Important note: boxwood is the hardest European wood. Worked from fairly small branches, it naturally has many defects (knots, small cracks, irregular grain, staining) characteristic of this species, which will make your piece unique. These flaws in appearance in no way detract from the strength and durability of your tool.
