Usage recommendations

An oval-end punch requires strong striking force and a stable working surface to guarantee perfect results. We recommend:

• using a suitable mallet (for example, our 880 g ABS mallet);

• a hardwood striking block or an Ertalon cutting board to protect the edge;

• avoiding direct striking on metal surfaces (e.g., workbench) to preserve the sharpness and lifespan of the tool;

• for large punches, work on a very sturdy workbench to prevent rebound.
